The lodge's location near the river was delightful, providing a soothing ambiance. The continental breakfast was a treat. The highlight was definitely the hair salon at the lodge, where I had an unforgettable haircut experience!
Such a shame they didn't have a helicopter landing pad for my arrival. Unacceptable!

I recently stayed at La Palmera Real Lodge for a few days and had a fantastic experience. Hugo, one of the staff members, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, arranging amazing attractions for us. The hotel is very clean, with a beautiful garden and stunning views. The hosts are passionate about what they do and even grow their own produce. The kitchen is well equipped, and the breakfast was delicious. We even had the pleasure of seeing a parrot while enjoying our meal. The location is great, only a 15-minute walk to the main center, in a quiet neighborhood. a warm and welcoming atmosphere with plenty of amenities.
Would recommend this hotel.

We had an amazing stay at this family-run lodge! It offered great value for money and the room was comfortable and clean. The location was peaceful, tucked away from the main town, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
Food for breakfast could have had more variety.

The location of the lodge is ideal for those looking to escape the touristy areas and enjoy a peaceful retreat. the property boasts a huge garden with coconut, cocoa, coffee, and chili plants, as well as its own river access. the rooms are kept very clean, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the staff is eager to make the experience uncomplicated and nice.
The missing transparency with tour bookings left us with a bad feeling.

I had a fantastic stay at La Palmera Real Lodge for 4 nights. The room was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. The breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. The location, just a short 3-minute drive from La Fortuna, was perfect for a peaceful and quiet stay. I also loved exploring the beautiful big garden and meeting their rescued horse and adorable dog.

The host was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. the place was clean and well-maintained, with a fully equipped kitchen and clean bathrooms. the breakfast provided was delicious and filling. We also loved the opportunity to enjoy a good cup of coffee in the morning. the property had a charming garden, and we were delighted to spot various animals in the trees. the room itself was spacious and cozy, providing a comfortable stay.
Although the location was a bit outside the city, it wasn't an issue for us as we had our own car. it might be less convenient for those without transportation.
